The Innovation & Data team within the Wealth & Asset Management division delivers impactful insights and projects to our investment teams by applying (alternative) data and financial models to support and influence portfolio decisions.

To strengthen our team in either Hamburg or Frankfurt, we are looking for a

Data Scientist* Asset Management

The ideal candidate must demonstrate experience using statistical, machine learning and modern scripting techniques as well as working with different data architectures to derive insights and built data and analytics solutions. Furthermore, candidates are expected to demonstrate a solid understanding of financial markets and investment processes across different asset classes.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement stable and scalable solutions to provide insights on large structured and unstructured datasets
  • Research and analyse data sets using a variety of statistical and machine learning techniques
  • Researching new topics (KI agents, infrastructure as code) and training employees
  • Monitor technology trends on the markets, analyse and drive implementation of use cases


Your Profile:
  • MSc, ideally PhD, from a top-tier university in a quantitative subject
  • Strong background in mathematics, statistics, and machine-learning techniques
  • Ideally: Publication record in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals
  • Quantitative research experience in asset management or investment domain
  • Familiarity with financial markets, macro-economics, and multi-asset investing
  • Hands-on experience with machine-learning techniques as well as data mining on a broad variety of data sets (market, fundamental, alternative data, etc.)
  • Excellent, clean and efficient coding skills (Python, MATLAB, R, Java, etc.)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and Proven project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
