The COO department is the backbone of the Wealth & Asset Management division and enables business growth while providing a stable, cost efficient and progressive operating platform. Our teams work along the value chain and across locations in daily business functions such as sales support, investment guideline monitoring, middle office, reporting or data analytics. Furthermore business management and development teams drive change in regards to strategic, regulatory, digitization, process improvement or new business onboarding initiatives and serve as a link for collaboration with Berenberg’s central units.

Today’s investors are more socially and environmentally conscious than ever. They want to know the companies they invest in are operating ethically. Working within Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Office means you will be at the forefront of this. This involves helping to monitor how companies in our portfolios respect the environment, how they manage relationships with their people, customers, suppliers and the communities where they operate, and their levels of ethical and responsible management. You could also help to develop and manage our own sustainability strategy.

In portfolio management, we build and select investments to meet our clients’ long-term goals. This involves assessing each client’s tolerance to risk, buying and selling stocks and assets strategically and monitoring investments to stay ahead of the market and add value for the client.

Our sales team plays a key role in attracting both new investors and new funds to our portfolios. Working closely with the Product Specialists and Portfolio Managers, they identify potential clients and funds, and develop successful sales strategies. This is the perfect role for you if you have the character, ability and dynamic energy to excite new audiences about our unique offering.

In Wealth Management, our relationship managers look after very wealthy families, foundations, companies and other institutions with comparably complex investment requirements. Our relationship managers build on their experience and personality within the framework of a modern and IT-supported advisory process to create outstanding advisory experiences that are oriented towards client needs. Our goal is to advise our clients holistically and to accompany them across generations.
