The Unified Communications team within Global Services Technology sees itself as consultants and providers for all voice and data communication internally and externally, as well as protectors of Berenberg’s global network environment. Our business model thrives on information and communication.


Your responsibilities:

  • Developing technical solutions for our UCC infrastructure & services based on the expectations of our customers as well as the requirements of the business
  • Focusing on high usability, cross-client collaboration, integrated security and scalability
  • Implementation, development and operation of existing and new UCC systems, as well as associated network and security infrastructures
  • Support and development of special solutions such as voice recording and trading phone systems
  • Introduction of new solutions, project planning, development, integration and training
  • Day to day technical support and collaboration with other departments
  • Integration of technical solutions and processes to fulfil and support our regulatory requirements


Your profile:

  • Concrete knowledge and experience in MS Teams deployment and integration
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current Cisco UCC solutions as well as the associated interfaces, network requirements and protocols (SIP, RTP, RTPS, SIPS, voice and video codecs)
  • Experience working with CUCM, TMS, CMS, Expressway, IM&P, Jabber and Webex at L3 level
  • Deep knowledge of session border controller functionalities as well as SIP-based RFC and its configuration in a global enterprise environment, (Cisco, Audiocodes, ACME)
  • Good knowledge of SIP signalling trace & analyses, previous experience of carrier SIP trunking & globalised dial plan routing
  • Knowledge of Cloud solution and tools (Webex, MS Teams, Zoom, BlueJeans)
  • Concrete presentation of requirements for modern collaboration in connection with the currently available technologies in a growing IT environment of an investment bank
  • Experience in market leading telecommunication and collaboration solutions as well as classical / line-based PBX systems (Mitel, Siemens, Avaya, Cisco)
  • Exposure\knowledge of trading communication (IPC) is desirable
  • Experience with Voice Recording solutions\platforms (IMR and VFC)
  • Extensive experience in advanced LAN and WAN networking architectures, with a focus on voice and real-time services (routing, MPLS, VPLS, VoIP, security and encryption), and ready for the move from classic to modern Management of hybrid or multi-cloud services in an agile work environment
  • Experience working with Cisco CTI\CRM solutions is desirable
  • Providing L3 support and managing UCC integration projects
  • Financial services background, experience of working with vendors and evaluating new solutions
  • Good documentation and system design/diagram skills
  • Good analytical skills for capturing and implementing complex tasks
  • Professional personal presentation, strong communicative and organisational competencies
  • English language skills are essential
